The best way to start your evening at El Sol is with one of our fabulous cocktails, freshly prepared at the bar in the terrace, especially when it is served with a smile!

In summer 2021 we re- opened El Sol, just opposite our former location in Senegambia. We are happy to welcome you in the relaxed tropical atmosphere of the new El Sol, where you will find the excellent service we are known for, our attentive staff, and – of course – the wide selection of our delicious mexican dishes, international specialties, and superb steacks.

We offer a lovely outdoor bar area with comfortable seating, a fully air conditioned and tastefully decorated dining room, and a spacious terrace surrounded by a lush tropical garden.

We are already working hard on our exciting location, and very soon we will be able to welcome you again in a new El Sol!

We are now resuming our regular time for our Take Away Orders, which is from 12.30pm to 9pm, last order is 8.30pm. We are closed on Tuesday.

During these past weeks we have extended our Take Away menu, adding a selection of delicious burgers and sandwiches. Do you know that you can order online from our website?

We will open only for TAKE AWAY or DELIVERY orders, every day from 12.30am to 9.00pm. Last orders will be taken at 8.30pm. Closed on Tuesday.

In the Gambia the summer season in often referred to as the ‘off’ season, because of the decline  in the number of tourists coming to visit us during the warmest months.

Nevertheless, the beauty of our tiny country remains unaltered. Actually, due to the rains the landscape all around becomes amazingly lush and green.

At El Sol, after a short break to recharge our battery, we are now back to business and we will be open every day as usual, except that – untill the restarting of the tourist season in October – we will be now closed on Monday.

 

 

Gusto is our new restaurant, located just next door to El Sol. This is an Italian restaurant serving typical Italian dishes slightly revised by the modern touch and the creativity of Italian chef and co-owner Emiliano. We offer a selection of starters, main courses, and an extensive choice of freshly prepared pasta dishes and pizzas – from our outdoor wood fired oven. Being under the same management, at Gusto you can surely expect just the same quality and service that we provide at El Sol!

We are pleased to inform our clientele that we are open 7 days a week.  Our kitchen opens at 17.00 and last order is taken at 10.30.
